Role of Bacterial Inoculant and Organic Matter in Improving some Soil Physical Properties and Water use Efficiency of Maize under Drought Conditions in Iraq

Abstract Field experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Research Directorate Station, Ministry of Science and Technology in Autumn 2018 to study role liquid bacterial inoculant addition organic matter improving physical properties, water consumption use efficiency maize crop ( Zea mays L.) under drought conditions prevailing Iraq. Bacterial inoculated added with two levels with, without adding, adding fertilizer three (0, 1.5 3%) soil weight. Irrigation scheduled when depleting (50, 60 70%) available water. Water were 584, 437 317 mm depletion respectively. The 3% significantly superior treatments 50 60% depletion. Saturated hydraulic conductivity aggregate stability these 1.81 1.75 cm h −1 0.530 0.524% grain yield 12.321 12.162 t ha above-mentioned highest rate 2.98 kg m −3 % moisture depletion, level 3%.
